Tour starts every night at dusk

Granite Island is the home to 1800 Penguins and they are managed by the South Australian National Parks & Wildlife Service. These little penguins are known to Australia's Southern coastline and are the world's smallest penguin species, standing approximately 35cm and weighing about 1.2kg. Most penguins return from the sea at dusk in small groups . Access to the Island is restricted after dusk. All persons wishing to view the penguins are required to be part of a guided tour.
 
 

Urimbirra Wildlife Park  
 

Urimbirra Wildlife Park is set on 40 acres and provides visitors with close-up encounters of over 400 native Australian animals and also home to many native Australian birds which reside in the 16 acre Wetland Bird Sanctuary. Urimbirra Wildlife Park also offers close-up encounters with Koalas and Wombats and the opportunity to feed the Kangaroos and Wallabies and watch the spectacular crocodile feeding. The Park is well equipped with tranquil picnic and BBQ areas with a kiosk and souvenir shop also available.
 
 

Greenhills Adventure Park

Horse Drawn Tram   

The Victor Harbor Horse Drawn Tramway operates every day of the year with a team of ten majestic Clydesdales, four beautifully renovated trams and a team of friendly local staff willing to assist in making your visit enjoyable and memorable.

Travel over the causeway along the Historic broad gauge railway line linking the mainland to Granite Island. A return journey takes around forty minutes with fantastic views of Granite Island and the Harbor. The Tramway caters for bus groups, night tram penguin tours and individually tailored wedding packages.
